A normal type day

I awoke late today, a bit after 8. Why would it matter? Why do I care? I don't have to be anywhere, nothing hinges on getting up at any particular time, I suppose this dovetails into the oldest question of man, "why do we get up every day and do what we do?" Why, for example couldn't it be completely fine to just do as little as possible? Would you be lesser of a person?

But I won't philosophize because it doesn't even matter, it just sets me up to begin the day feeling a bit behind and needing to move a little quicker. Soonafter, Sugel came by to take out the garbage and recycling as promised. She couldn't come yesterday because of the snow but she volunteered to come today just to take the trash out. Then her car broke down, which made me feel very sad. After not being able to get help with her car, she cheerfully decided to rearrange her day and clean my house a day early and then clean house for another family nearby. Cheerful is the key word.

And I have a busy day, finishing two projects and calling the atty for an update and organizing my paperwork which is in a sad state and then above all else, taking time to do my exercises and massage my scars.

Oh yes, I got a beautiful phone call from Lia from Reunion. She arrived safely though it was an excruciatingly long journey and then proceeded to chip her tooth on the water faucet and is a bit concerned about that for good reasons. She said it is tropically hot there and her feet were swollen either from 36 hours of flying time. And I also got a beautiful email from Ariana who is having amazing adventures in the exotic lands of Thai.

Oh my, this takes up a lot of time and I'm not really contributing anything to the well being of the universe. Bye for now.

Where did my second post go?

Uh oh. Technical challenges already. I seem to have lost one full entry.

Cyberspace?? Are you there??

I'm watching the snow melt and anticipating Andys' picking me up for a trip to the theatre to see 51 Birch St. Hmmm..

Is this working?

Working backward

It's been recommended by my dearest close friends that I should be keeping an account of this extraordinary (and I mean that in the most literal possible way) experience and I meant to, I really did. But suddenly, it is more than 6 months gone by and while I've journaled very haphazardly in a variety of journals, sketchbooks, work diaries and scraps of paper floating around, it does seem time to pull all the bits together and form this into some kind of cohesive mistle.

And, true to form, true to reality, interruptions being the name of the game, I am pausing here to make post #1 to test it and then I'll be back. Nod to Arnold. I'll be back.

Thank you.
